To apply, we request that each student applicant submits the following:
- Summer Surgery Program Online Application (General or Scholarship)
- One Letter of Recommendation from a teacher, mentor, or academic advisor.
2024 Summer Surgery Program
Student Participant Applications
If you wish to apply for a scholarship, please use the scholarship application only. NOTE: Additional documentation is required for Scholarship Applicants, see Tuition and Eligibility
Do not submit both a general and scholarship application.
Individuals not selected to receive a scholarship but wish to be considered for the program, please let us know and your application will be added to the general applicant pool for further consideration.
Space is limited to 24 students per session.
Submit required documents to: summersurgery@hs.uci.edu
Each student will receive a confirmation email once all application materials have been received on or before the application deadline.
After the application deadline and the application submission window has closed, applicants will be evaluated based on their academic record, diversity of experiences and backgrounds, essay quality, recommendation letter, and expressing a commitment to excellence in the Summer Surgery Program.
Viable candidates will be invited to participate in a 10-minute interview, via Zoom.
Once accepted into the Summer Surgery Program, a registration packet will be provided.
The accepted applicant will be required to send in a completed registration packet (organized into one PDF document) and full session tuition by Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
