More recently, there's been the development of something called blue light cystoscopy. This procedure allows us to diagnose and detect cancers more readily than when we look with just white light alone. In order to proceed with this procedure, we'll put a small catheter into the bladder and insert a medication. This medication will sit in your bladder for several minutes, and then we'll begin the procedure that will help us to determine whether bladder cancers are present more readily than just looking with white light.
