Receiving treatment sessions is as simple as sitting on a chair. The patient sits fully clothed on a specially designed seat that uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology to deliver pulses that stimulate the pelvic floor muscles. Over the course of a 28-minute session, thousands of contractions are produced in the pelvic floor that are more intense than those achieved with pelvic exercises, such as Kegels. In fact, the EMSELLA™ chair can engage the patient’s muscles at a pace that would require about 11,000 Kegels per minute to achieve.

This course of treatment helps to strengthen the muscles and improve blood flow to the pelvic floor. Many patients report improvements after just a few sessions. Optimal results are typically seen after six treatments, spaced over a three-week period.
